In this video recipe let me show you how to make breakfast in a mug! This is a delicious British style cooked breakfast made using a mug in the microwave that takes less than 5 minutes in total and is completely fresh! This recipe is part of my mug month playlist, we have already made mac and cheese in a mug which you guys are loving, so hope you give this one a try too!

Start off by adding a tsp of oil into the mug then chuck in the sausages and mushrooms, stirring to coat and then blast in the microwave for 1 minute. This is based on an 800w microwave, if yours is more powerful keep an eye on it, it may need slightly less. Remove the mug from the microwave and add in the bacon bits and black pudding, stir again then give another minute in them microwave. Stir again, top up with the cherry tomatoes, a grinding of black pepper, then finish by adding on your beans and giving a good stir through.

Cover in cling film, piercing with a fork, then microwave for 1 minute, open to check if bubbling…. I continued for a further 30 seconds to be sure. Carefully remove from the microwave and remove cling film (it will be hot!). Stir through again to mix ingredients well and serve if you like with some buttered toast!

There you go, enjoy this cooked breakfast in a mug recipe and let me know how you get on!
